Born from lazy sun drenched days in search for that endless summer of surf and sun. Rico Designs 2013/14 Summer Collection; Neon Rays is inspired from the designer Richelle's love for all things beach and colour. 

The collection grew out of a free-spirited lifestyle. The sand between your toes, the cool spray from the ocean on your skin, the waves, sunshine, smiles, bleached out salty hair and palm trees everywhere. 

Each piece from the Rico Designs Neon Rays Collection is intricately handmade in Australia by Richelle. These high quality treasures feature neon pops of colour combined with crystals, and sterling silver. 

The bohemian/beach brand evokes a carefree spirit for the beach bum at heart, the traveller, the women who is a free thinker and an individual who is true to herself.

From Beach to City... New York style

As a jewellery designer I always envision my jewellery as beachy boho jewels with that fun summer loving vibe to be worn from the beach to the bar. Hot summer days lazin around on the beach, hitting the waves and getting sun kissed skin….then popping on a party summer dress and layering up the jewels for some afternoon drinks at the local beer garden…preferably water in sight J

So I love it even more when people take my jewellery and adapt it to their own personal style and rock it…This is what New York blogger Yyekina has this n a way I would have never imagined….Rico Designs jewels stacked with tribal antique jewellery…who says you can’t wear shells and tropical trinks in the big smoke??

Behind the scenes of BOHEME BIMBO Shoot featuring RICO DESIGNS Jewels

I gotta say I love a good old collaboration with other artists so whenever I get the opportunity to lend out my jewels for photo shoots I jump at the chance.

It’s not the first time Rico Designs has teamed up with the talent Loraine from clothing label Boheme Bimbo with the 2 going hand in hand down the cat walk at RAW Natural Born Artists fashion show in the Rocky Hotel.

I wasn’t there on the day but wanted to share some of the behind the scenes shots from Saturday’s photo shoot on a beautiful sunny day at Sydney’s Balmoral Beach.

RICO DESIGNS in Raw Artists fashion show: ELEVATION

The Roxy Hotel: Parramatta

Rico Designs will be apart of the Raw Artists Sydney Fashion Show on Saturday night July 27th. I along with many other artists will have the chance to show off my work and have my pieces be apart of a cat walk fashion show. I will also be collaborating with other designers on the night which should be alot of fun.

Also on the night there will be live music, runway fashion shows, burlesque, dance, short films, and a whole load of visual art, photography and accessories design, Including drinks by Brokenwood Wines and canapés by Danny’s Bistro upon arrival.... So why not make a night of it, bring some friends for a fun night out.
