Sneak Peak...Dream Weaver

Inspired by the Navajo Indians, this collection is what you get when you combine a love for silver, feathers, leather, turquoise, dream catchers and that tribal influence.

An early start along Sydney's northern beaches and many outfit changes later, I hope we captured what we set out to, that free spirited, back to nature bohemian look.

Feathers are a huge part of this collection, which I love not only for the colours that they can add to an outfit, but the texture and layered detail which can make any look unique.

Inspiration for upcoming photoshoot....Dream Weaver

I’m getting very excited as I’m finishing up all the final touches for the new photo shoot on sat morning. I have lots of things on my mind, even finding it hard to sleep as my brain tics over all the things that need to be done.

Yesterday I went out of a location hunt around Sydney’s Northern Beaches....I have bamboo, long grass fields or reeds in mind....something to add a contrast to my collection, and a beautiful texture with a dash of colour to add depth to the photo shoot. I want to steer clear of ocean shots which I have typically done in the past.

This new range has a lot of leathers, feathers, dream catchers and bone... I’m bringing back my body pieces for that tribal effect which has had a huge influence on this range. I’m also incorporating some 1 off feather head pieces and hair wraps adding to the bohemian tribal feel of this collection.

I’ve always been all about texture to add character and I have always loved animal prints and fur (fake of course)….so somehow I’m going to be including that in the shoot…

I have created a collage of things that have inspired me for this shoot and range.  Hope you like…

What im about

My name is Richelle, I’m from Sydney’s Northern Beaches and I am an emerging designer with my own jewellery label Rico Designs. My collections show case beautiful, edgy, inspiring jewellery consisting of a range of materials and textures including silver, gemstone, leather, feathers and dream catchers which are one with soul and nature.

All my designs are inspired from my travels around the world, my love of the ocean and nature. Each piece evokes a story and memories of good times. I love the way silver contrasts against sun kissed skin and the power Jewellery has to give a person confidence. It allows a person to express themselves and adds character to their overall look and feel.

Strung together on leather, my jewellery is handmade and serves as a focal point to any outfit, suitable for beach, street and night wear, even dress up a bikini. Each design is individually crafted and unique. I have also incorporated gemstones which in themselves have the power to protect the wearer on their travels.
